About Our Bed & breakfast

MAIN STREET BED & BREAKFAST

Small and made at home feeling

I operate Main St. Bed & Breakfast with my wife, Pam. We are originally from Denver, Co., and we relocated to Hannibal in 1988. In 2000, we remodeled the old F&M Bank building, creating a living space for ourselves on the ground floor, and three rooms for rent on the second floor. We love downtown living, and hope that our guests enjoy staying with us in Historic Downtown Hannibal. Our hosting style is informal. Because we live on the ground floor, we are readily available to help our guests and to offer flexible check-in and check-out times. As long-time residents of Hannibal, we are the perfect pair to point you in the direction of any attractions, restaurants, shops or other activities you may enjoy around town.

Main Street Bed and Breakfast is walking distance to all Twain sights, restaurants, and downtown entertainment. The Mighty Mississippi is just a stone’s throw away.

OUR TESTIMONIALS

Rooms are beautiful price reasonable location very convenient. It was our first bed and breakfast but it fit us to a tee, every thing we needed nothing to annoy us. Host was helpful not overbearing. He met us at the door showed us parking the showed us the room very unassuming. We are low key people so off we went on our adventure exploring main street Hannibal. It was a Monday but stuff was still open for shopping and dining. If you can get a room here do it, 2 nights next time for sure.

Super clean, romantic and right in the middle of historic Hannibal, MO, Mark Twain’s home town. This bed and breakfast is easy walk through town, the lighthouse a riverboat tour, Museum, and gift shops. Michael has placed a refrigerator in the room, juice, water and yogurt are included with some of the best banana bread that I’ve had. Everything is there for a pot of coffee or hot water. The jacuzzi and separate shower make this visit special. We will come back again…there is more to see and the stay was special!

Great Location next to shops and restaurants on the river. The room was very clean and nice. It was decorated to the time period of the building. It had a large bathroom. The host was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. It is an old neat building.

First rate bed & breakfast that is located right in the heart of main street. Spacious room that had all of the amenities. All types of restaurants and bars are walking distance from the property. Owner of the B&B was one of the very nice and accommodating.

This place is perfect for a couples getaway. My husband and stayed in the renaissance room and loved every minute of it. The BNB is located in the heart of historical Hannibal. We never had to drive anywhere. The room was so beautiful. It was the perfect mix of history with some modern updates. The jacuzzi tub was my favorite amenity. Micheal the owner was very welcoming and made sure we had snacks and whatnot in the room prior to arriving. My only complaint was the entry door to the room. It’s a oblique window and I felt like anybody could look through. We put a sheet over it and we were fine. I look forward to returning and staying in one of the other themed rooms.

Great host who was very accommodating by letting us put our lunch leftovers in the room refrigerator early. Nice clean room and located within walking distance to most attractions. Very well priced. Learned a little bit about the building as well.
